Service Team Member

Full instruction in the Company's procedures is provided and, therefore, there is no minimum education or experience level required. Rather, the ability to demonstrate stamina, perseverance, commitment, team work, efficiency, quality, and accuracy are essential. Attention to detail is needed since interpretation of a coding system is involved. The job involves working through the night together with up to ten other students on a given shift, six nights per week. The work requires standing as 60% of one's time is spent folding and bagging clothes. The remaining time is loading and unloading washing machines. Maintaining a steady pace is important since, as the wages reflect, this job is not the same as doing one's own laundry at home. It is fast-paced and there is no down time outside of regularly scheduled unpaid breaks. It is very similar to working on a production line. At the end of the shift, mopping and cleaning of the premise is required. CD players/ra dios at work are welcome and enjoyment of conversation, music and good humour is a definite asset!

Pay is a base rate of $10.25 per hour. Overtime, work in excess of 44 hours per week, is paid at $15.00 per hour. At the end of the summer, a bonus of $1.00 for every hour worked is paid to every employee who completes the terms of their agreement (ie does not quit or cause themselves to be dismissed).

The work schedule is variable from five to six days per week, 8 PM to 4 AM (sometimes more or less), leaving Team Members free to do as they like for the best part of the day. Days off are scheduled on different days each week.

Current Status: 3 of these 12 positions are currently are open for summer 2009 applications. Once all positions are filled, a backup list of applications will be kept to be considered in the event of an unexpected new opening.
